I originally posted this in a different forum for someone who was interested in moving into my apartment building (Im Neuenheimer Feld 135), but perhaps you'll find it interesting too: it's the floorplan of the apartment I'm living in.
All the single apartments in the building have the same basic layout, though every second room has the bathroom & cooking niche on the other side (the bed, table, & shelf are all moveable). This is the apartment in its "empty" state – I have a few more shelves, a chair, and so forth. At the moment I'm toying with the idea building a shelf in above the central doorway (on the left side) for some more storage space, but I have the feeling that I could probably get just as much space by simply cleaning up the mess on the floor and throwing all the junk out :-D
