I'm a sucker for technology, to the extent that were it not for my incredible reserves of willpower (which have an inverse relationship of support with my meagre reservers of capital), I would require two powerboards just to recharge my gadgets every evening. The latest object of my affection is the Sony Ericsson P900, a dreamy little number which caught my eye recently when I went into a Telstra shop to find a new case for my old Siemens S45. I had a brief dalliance with the O2 XDA II several months ago, but despite the funky features they looked rather ridiculous - unlike the P900, as you can see:
It's not that I actually need a new phone, any more than I need in excess of three ties or one pair of soccer boots. However, I have a dozen ties and three (four, maybe?) pairs of boots, so this would hardly be unprecedented largesse on my part. I just get excited by gadgets and features in much the same way as a clown gets excited by a cream pie, with the difference that he's likely to cream someone else.
If that hasn't turned you off, you'll probably be sad to hear that I'll be living with a dial-up connection - I'll miss you, T1 connection - for the next month or so while I dog-sit (with attatched house) for my Uncle Col and Aunt Mary. As such my posting *may* be restricted, though don't count on it - at worst I can use my mobile as a modem, connect it to a laptop and post entries over the GPRS network. Of course, with the P900 I wouldn't even need the laptop... *searches behind couch for spare $1'500*
