Thought I'd do my mate Chris a favour and put in a plug for his ska-core band, The Resignators.
They're playing at Oxide, which is an alternative night club that ran from 1995-2004, hosting bands like Millencolin, No Fun at All, Blink 182, Bodyjar, The porkers, Area 7, and The Living End.
On Dec. 22nd they're having a One Night Only revival type thing (see flyer below), and anyway, I think you should go. I'm not just saying this 'cause I like Chris (though he the is most photogenic man I've ever come across, blast him), but 'cause I reckon the music's not half bad. "Frankie wants out", a Melbourne swing band, are playing too, and they're another group I'd recommend - this time without personal connection*.
* I thought I'd once visited the singer's house one Christmas, where his mum gave me a cupcake and they both wished me a happy birthday, but then I realised I was confusing them with Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
