Reader Feedback

Here is some recent feedback on my blog I thought I'd share with you:
You have a good writing style, and use language well. It started out a little too "Penny Arcade" for me, with the bold and italicised text, but it's not as arrogant as they are. It's just arrogant enough to be you
  - Jacob C.

Reply: When I started, I'll admit to being influenced by Jerry Holkins' (of PA) writing style. I like it, and have no qualms about adapting it into my own. Whatever I write, though, is usually off the cuff, so any changes in style are likely to be just as much caused by my state of mind at the time as longer-term shifts in my foundational literary elements.

Were this anybody else's day-to-day stuff, it would be fairly mundane – but because I know you, it's oddly compelling
  - Evan H.
Reply: Well, I'm not writing for the public at large, so that suits me just fine :) My overall reasons haven't really changed since I started, though they remain background principles rather than templates to which every post must conform. That bit about not wearing pants is true, though ;)
